Storyboard Text

  • Zeus has appeared to let loose a huge storm; we will have to wait it out. In the meantime, do NOT eat the cattle! I will be back soon, as I have to go pray to the gods.
  • Odysseus, after escaping the two sea monsters, lands his crew on Thrinacia (the Sun god's island) , although he was warned not to (fearing mutiny). Suddenly, a huge storm from Zeus starts, making the men stay on the island for another month. Trying to refrain from eating the cattle, the crewmen soon start to run out of food...unfortunately when Odysseus goes to pray to the gods.
  • I have to make a plan...
  • We promise not to do anything!
  • But I'm soooo hungry!
  • WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! ZEUS, PLEASE FORGIVE MY CREW FOR WHAT THEY HAVE CONCOCTE-D!
  • While Odysseus is gone praying to the gods, his crew concocts their fatal plan-which involves killing Helios' sacred cattle. Slaughtering the cattle and sacrificing it to the gods, Odysseus awoke to find the men feasting on the meat. Devastated, Odysseus wonders if he will ever make it back home-knowing the others won't. Helios finds out about his dead cattle from Lampetie-who was eavesdropping on the crew-and she immediately tells Helios, who in turn tells Zeus. Zeus promises Helios he would kill all of the men who participated in the crime, so Helios wouldn't wreak havoc on the Underworld...
  • But we sacrificed the meat to the gods! They'll protect us!
  • We decided that we'd rather die at sea then starve...
  • I have to go tell Helios!
  • Hopefully Helios doesnt find out...
  • Following Odysseus and his crew's month-long stay on Thrinacia, the crew leaves the island-only to find severe trouble on their journey home. Zeus ends up fulfilling his word, killing all of Odysseus' men via a huge storm. Odysseus' ship gets ruined, and it seems like he is stranded in the ocean! What is worse is that a wind pushes Odysseus all the way back to Scylla and Charybdis. Hanging onto a tree, Odysseus waits for Charbydis to spit up his makeshift boat, which he rides all the way to Calypso's home.
  • Gods, please help me! My entire crew is dead!
