My name is Pygmalion a talented sculpture. I hate women and I swore that I will not be married.
I used my talent to carved out my dream women Ivory. I named her Galatea.
After I finished my master piece I fell inlove with her. I pretended that she is a real person. I keep on kissing and hugging her I even buy her gifts, dress her up and put her to bed. I wish she was a real person.
The festival for Aphrodite came. After Pygmalion gave his offering to Aphrodite he prayed with all his heart and soul, for the goddess to bring his statue to life. Aphrodite was touched by his veneration she then visits the studio of Pygmalion and was amazed by his master piece then Aphrodite grants his wish.
Goddess Aphrodite I wish that my statue will become a real woman.
I was amazed by your talent and your love. I was moved by your great veneration.
This is goddess Aphrodite's doing.
Upon returning home Pygmalion noticed a flush on the cheeks of the sculpture, and slowly he realized his prayer was heard. He immediately hugged and kissed Galatea.
The love of Pygmalion and Galatea blossomed and wedding vows were exchanged. They also have a child named Paphos in honor to Aphrodite's favorite city.
