- Mateo and Lidia meeting again after the train
- Rufus beat up his ex-girlfriends new boyfriend. Rufus states,¨Im still on top of this dude, pinning his shoulders down with my knees.¨
- Mateo visiting his dad in the hospital
- Mateo and Rufus visit Mateos mothers grave and Mateo sees his grave being dug. Mateo states,¨I get up and turn to my open grave, which is maybe only 3 feet deep and uneven.¨
- Mateo at Lidias house
- Mateo feels bad for just abandoning Lidia so he decides to call her and tell her that he wants to see her again. The text states,¨ She throws her arms around me and squeezes, almost as if she herself has pulled my out of a sinking car.¨
- Mateo wanted to see his dad one last time before Mateo passed. Rufus states, ¨He heads over to the bed and kisses his father´s forehead. ¨Good bye dad¨
- Mateo plans to leave Lidia 400 dollars and leave without telling her hes going to die within the next 24 hours. Mateo states,¨I place the envelope of cash on the kitchen counter when she leaves the room.¨
