- He was a courtier in the courts of leading Spanish nobleman in Spain, 1507.St Ignatius became a courtier early on in his life. A courtier is a person who is often in attendance at the court of a monarch or other royal personageImpact: The impact that this had on him made him forget about his religion and helping out who ever is in need. St Ignatius only cared about himself and looking rich. St Ignatius was as far away from a St as you could possibly be. This event made him forget more and more about his religion and following in the foot steps of Jesus.
- Battle of Pamplona in Pamplona, May 20th 1521. St Ignatius decided to fight in the battle of Pamplona and on the very first day of the battle he got struck by a cannon ball by the french. St Ignatius did not say a word to express the pain he was in and told his soldiers to keep going but the Spanish lost all motivation. He then read two books "The life of christ" and "The life of Saints". After he read the books he realised that the world wasn't resolved around him.

- Holy Land, Rome 1539St Ignatius arrived in the Holy Land in 1539 and immediately was denied access so he stayed in a cave not far away for ten months straight. He only intended to live in the cave for a few days but he stayed for a lot longer. Each day St Ignatius would spend hours in prayer and in a hospice. While he was there the ideas for what are now known as spiritual exercises began to take shape. The change in this was that he spread the word of God through the whole world.
