My Math Game

Objective

Rules

Power-Ups and Check Points

Obstacles

Winning and the Next Level

My math game will be about a penguin who is trying to get to his home igloo.

The objective is for the players to answer math equations more quickly and still have fun.

The penguin is trying to get to his home igloo. However, his home is on the other side of a huge freezing ocean!! The only way to get across is by jumping from thin chunks of ice. To jump, you must answer the math problem on the chunk of ice correctly before the hourglass runs out. If it runs out, the ice will break and you will lose a heart. If you lose all of your hearts, then you lose and have to start over.

If you land on a chunk of ice with a fish on it, then you earn a heart. Landing on a spring will allow you to jump over one chunks of ice. If you land on a jetpack, then you get to fly over three blocks of ice. However, you must be careful because the fire from the jetpack could melt the ice.

If you see a small island of ice with a sign, then that is a checkpoint. It means that if you lose all of your hearts, instead of starting over from the beginning, you will start from where your last checkpoint was.

If you land on a piece of floating ice with icicle spikes that go up and down, then you lose one heart. However, if you land on a piece of ice surrounded by killer whales, you will most likely get eaten and lose all of your hearts. However, if you answer the math equation on the next piece of ice very quickly, then you might survive.

If you manage to survive this treacherous journey by solving many math problems, then you will finally arrive home. You can rest at last!! However, you get a birthday invitation from your most favorite sibling, but she lives VERY far away. The player gets to choose if he/she wants to go to the next level, where the player will travel all the way to the penguin's sister's house to celebrate her birthday, or to just be finished with the game ending with the penguin relaxing.
