- In this scenario, a boy and his girlfriend go out to eat, and when they go to the same place a week later, he orders for her, thinking she wants the same dish again. However, when she makes it clear to him that she wants something new, he lets her order herself. This cartoon shows consent because he is adapting to what she wants instead of forcing her to do something else. Consent is an agreement between partners for each of their desires. It is never implied by things like someone's past behavior, and there should always be clear communication.
