Jack and Peter have been becoming better friends since school has started. They usually hang out together and play basketball everyday.

Jack notices that Peter hasn’t been acting quite himself these past few days, his body language and communication is not like usual. Jack decides to ask Peter what’s wrong, but Peter doesn’t want to talk about it. Instead, Peter runs home without giving an explanation.

Later that day Jack tries a second time to ask Peter what’s wrong, this time through a text message. Peter replies and says he’s sorry for running off earlier, then continues to tell Jack that he has a hard time talking about his feelings, he was always told to be a “big boy”.

Jack replies telling Peter that it’s ok to be upset and cry at any age, and not to listen to the stereotypes put on social media. Before Jack is done giving advice he says he will always be there if Peter needs someone to talk to.

Peter doesn’t feel comfortable talking about his feelings in person, so he decides to try through text. They go on to talking and eventually form a stronger bond since Peter is finally able to talk about his feelings with someone.

They return to school and are both as happy as ever. They know they will always have a friend to talk to, even if it’s online, they will be there to help.

Wow!

Hey you seem a little off, you ok?

What if he thinks I’m a baby.. Ahh!

Hey are you ok?

I’ll be here if you need to talk.

Glad I have a friend like him.

Woohoo!
