The most impactful moment for me is when Niki explains that the doctors were seemingly trying to talk her our of mothering her child. For them to be so harsh and to go as far to say this is the situation you hope for the worse , meaning for her baby to pass, is just horrible. They should have been providing her with resources to help Gina succeed not talk her mother out of her life.
I found it really nice that Niki happened across a small interaction between a teacher and a student that she found to be reassuring about the school she would be enrolling Gina in. I can only imagine the worry she was having being so unsatisfied with the school until this moment. The time Gina spent in this classroom would be the beginning of her surprising those who did not believe in her and it happened because of a by chance moment.
I like that ultimately Gina brought so much positive to the world. Bringing together couples, helping to create better programs in school, and so on. She has proven to be such a blessing as her mother always knew she was.
