- Bronwyn, Addy, Nate, Cooper, and Simon were all placed in detention for having a phone that they claim is not theirs or they have never seen before, during that time Simon said his water bottle was missing so he asked to get a drink from the fountain, he grabbed a cup off the counter and went to the fountain and poured his water, then went back to his seat and took a few sips of water before passing out on the floor. Meanwhile the teacher was outside viewing the car crash that just happened in front of the school.

- After Simon's death the police called Bronwyn, Addy, Nate, and Cooper out after school letting them know how they all had reasons to want Simon dead from him exposing personal secrets about them on an app called About that. Bronwyn hacked into the teachers computer to pass chem, they say cooper took steroids for baseball, Addy cheated on her bf, and Nate was a drug dealer (which everyone already knew).
- Simon's friend Janae tells Addy everything about the entire Simon investigation
- After the interview from the cops more and more secrets kept getting out, and it turns out that someone else had the password to Simon's "About That App" and still was publishing draft posts about them. The cops said that they were all murder suspects because they were the only one's in the room at the time of Simon's death. They were all forced to get Lawyers. The case ended up getting into the public and there were reporters everywhere they went.
- Nate gets released out of jail
- The police claim to have found new evidence leading to Nate being the killer, the evidence involves finding a Journal of all of the About That posts and Simon's water bottle and all the missing EpiPens that were missing in Nate's locker.But Bronwyn doesn't believe that he did it so she hires Eli to be his lawyer because she believes that he's been setup because he is the only one with a bad background. Nate also denies that all the stuff that was found was his and he has no idea how it got there. But aside from this the Police have outed Cooper sexuality to the public. Bronwyn and Nate have started dating. Also, the entire group went over the About that posts and found evidence in a post that nobody knew about except Jake, So now there are questioning if he is the one behind all of this or not.
- Bronwyn, Addy, and Cooper keeps on meeting and connecting the dots. They have made post it notes of all the clues that they keep receiving. There last shot at getting Nate out of jail for murder is to talk Simon's closest friend Janae who has been acting suspicious lately by skipping school and always being around but being a awkward kind of silent. Addy was the only one that really ever had a conversation with Janae since Simon's death. When she gets there Janae tells her everything about the "murder" The entire group was shocked while finding out the truth.
- Nate finally gets released and the real murderer gets revealed. Everyone was shocked and they all tried hard to get back to narmal after going through a traumatizing event
