  • Chris meets with his guidance counselor. He explains his feelings and why he came through an I-statement. She assures him that even though he may feel alone, he isn't. She continues to support him.
  • Hi Ms. Apple. I feel stressed out when I think about college because I don't know where I want to go and all my peers do. I was hoping you could help me.
  • Of course I can! You're not alone feeling like this, a lot of your peers do too. Don't worry, I'll help you through it.
  • I want a college that's close to home, doesn't have too many people, and has a wide variety of majors.
  • His guidance counselor starts off by creating a goal for their session. She then narrows down the list of colleges by asking him what he's interested in. She starts off small to make sure he doesn't get overwhelmed.
