- The rest of the Allies have instituted a capitalist type government and we all have control over our own finances and have the chance to make our own money
- The Soviets have instituted a communist regime over on East Germany so everyone has the same things and we don't have control of our own money
- Well actually it isn't really free elections because Stalin outlawed the creation of any parties other than communist ones
- They are doing this to turn the smaller countries into economic colonies and military allies since they have to do what the communist party says
- I am so glad that the Soviet Union is allowing free elections in Eastern Europe now!
- Why is the Soviet Union doing that?
- Hello America and Citizens of Europe, America is officially adopting a policy of containment and will assist in resisting Soviet attempts to expand their power. We will give military and economic aid to those who need it, like Greece who would have gotten taken over without our assistance
- America has implemented the Marshall Plan. We will use this plan to help countries recover from WW2 in order to diminish the appeal of communism in countries that were heavily effected by the war by providing economic aid and supplies.
- It will be ok! The Berlin Airlift is coming to drop supplies for you!
- Oh no! Stalin created a blockade between the East and the West! He didn't want the capitalist East influencing the communist West!
- We, The United States and our European allies have come together to form NATO, a defensive alliance to protect against the soviet attack
