- Even after being arrested Frederick Douglass and his friends stayed united and were quiet
- Frederick decided that he was tired of being a slave so he convinced his friends to run away with him

- Frederick Douglass and his friends have devised an elaborate plan to ensure their successful escape. They intended to sail up they bay to Baltimore and Douglass has written protections for all of them, should any white man question them.
