- Mr. Robinson, where were you on the night of November 21st? You too Mr. Ewell.
- Judge, Mrs. Mayella called me in saying she had a job for me.
- Well, I was comin' from the woods with some kindlin´. I heard Mayella scream and I ran like a horse.
- Mr. Tate what happened on the night of November 21st? And what did you find?
- Did you call a doctor, Sheriff? Did anybody call a doctor? Describe her injuries.
- No, sir. Well, she was beaten around the head, bruised up and she had a black eye comin'. As far asI could tell, her injuries stretched for miles.
- Well, I was gettin' ready to leave when Mr. Ewell came in and said that I needed to come to his house quick. Said that his girl got r*ped.Found her on the floor all banged up lookin' like a punching bag.
- Mayella, describe what happened on the night of November 21st.
