- On January 21, 1924, Vladimir Lenin was killed after being shot in the neck and having a stroke. Josef Stalin worked his way up the ranks and eventually took control of Power in 1929. He dictated Russia for 24 years. Then he was killed on March 5, 1953.

- On November 7, or October 25 on the Julian Calendar (which is why the Revolution is often called the October Revolution, communist leader, Vladimir Putin rose against the Duma’s provisional government with a group known as the Bolsheviks. They then took control of Russia.

- There was a lot of corruption in Russia’s government. Rasputin, known for his prophetic powers and attempting to heal the King’s son. He was loved by the Queen and was asked to help solve some of Russia’s problems. He was put in charge when the King went to fight in the war alongside his soldiers. Rasputin was an ordinary person that was put in power and the people didn’t like this.

- This Revolution was led by peasants due to the food shortages and the failures of Russia in World War 1. This ultimately led the King to step down from power and leave Russia up for grabs.
- The Red Terror was a series of mass killings by the Bolsheviks. Lenin was not letting anybody protest or attack the newly founded government. Any people who did not follow these rules were killed of the spot. This was known as the red terror.
