Waking up early and going outside to pick cotton was what the slaves did everyday since they were bought by their owners.
The slaves picked cotton all day from when the sun rose to when the sun has completely set with no breaks at all.
The slaves would go to sleep that day knowing that the next day would not be any different than today.
Again they woke up early and go to the fields to pick cotton for the whole day. No matter their condition or when the weather was like that day, they would still have to go pick cotton from the fields.
They would once again be picking cotton all day from sunrise to sunset and repeating what happened the day prior to this day. Sometimes the slaves would be out all night and continue working through the next day without having an ounce of sleep.
They would again go to sleep knowing what was awaiting them tomorrow. Every night they would wonder when they will become free from their owner and when they will be freed from the endless loop of waking up and picking cotton from day to night.
