Digory realizes that Aslan has power, and he starts to wonder if he can heal his sick mother, so he decides to go talk to Aslan. Digory hops on the horses back (which the cabby has now named strawberry) and they go to Aslan, with Polly and the cabby following close behind on foot. When he gets to Aslan, they talk about how he awoke the witch and his sick mother. Aslan then tells Digory he has a job for him. He gives directions for Digory and tells him to go get a silver apple from a special tree not too far away.
Digory agrees and Polly offers to go with him. Aslan then gives strawberry wings and the ability to talk. So, Digory, Polly, and Strawberry fly off to retrieve the apple. By now, Uncle Andrew is absolutely terrified and is hiding and the cabby is still with Aslan.
While Aslan and the cabby are alone, Aslan asks him a very important question. The cabby thinks for a while and then finally responds. The cabby said that if his wife was in this land (which was named Narnia) he would stay here forever. All of a sudden, his wife appeared; Alsan had brought her into Narnia. She seemed confused, but she never questioned anything. Alsan then said, "You two will be the first king and queen of Narnia and all of your decedents will rule over this place." They then took an oath to always protect Narnia and that they would treat every creature fairly and with kindness. Aslan then promised that the witch would not come back into Narnia for a long time.
I suppose if my wife was here, I would never go to back to London.
