Well, this lady here has dissociative identity disorder. This means that she has multiple "personalities" inside of her. She often experiences memory loss, anxiety, out-of-body experiences, and a lack of self identity. It formed from a traumatic childhood event.

Movies like Split, Glass, and Fight Club make people with DID seem extremely violent when that is not true.

As you can see here, people really tend to think that they are going to be hurt by someone with DID. This could also make the person with DID self-conscious.

So, what can you do to fight the stigma? What she did! Try and politely correct people...
...and even try to comfort the person with DID. Just remember that what you see in Hollywood isn't what you see in real life.
