- HEY! Get out of my room. You're not allowed to be in here. This is my space!
- I ain't doing anything wrong. Why you gotta yell. Just came to see my puppies and saw your light was on. Just wanted a friend.
- That sounds damn near impossible to me. Every man wants to own a farm these days.
- George and I are savin' up all our money. We gon get a farm with them Rabbits for me to tend,, and we gonna live happily.
- Lennie stumbles into Crooks room making him very unhappy. Crooks does like anyone in his space just as people don't like him in theirs all because he is black. Making him very unhappy and defensive when he spots Lennie.
- Why would a guy like George want to stick with you. He gon' leave you in a hearbeat.
- NO NO NO! George will never leave me, he wouldn't. Stop saying that!
- Lennie hastily explains to crooks that he did not mean any harm. He was merely just lost and alone. After explanation Crooks calmed down a little bit, and they instead started to have a chat with one another.
- Oh...he was not kiddin was he...Kinda wanna go too...
- OMG! I know how to get us our farm. Can't wait to tell George later.
- HI! Candy.
- Lennie and Crooks get talking about Lennie's and George's plans. Their hopes and dreams of owning a farm was supposed to be kept between them, but knowing Lennie he ends up sharing it with someone else. That's what happens when you put two lonely people in one room...
- Have you seen Cur--
- HEY! What you doin here. You see Curly no where... LEAVE!
- Get out women, so fed up with this whole Curly thing.
- Lennie gets furious when Crooks claims that George will end up leaving him, and betraying him. He goes on denying it on and on until Crooks would just except what he said to be a fact.
- Candy, someone who also knew about George's and Lennie's farm enters the room. At first, this made Crooks quite uneasy but eventually they all started talking. He comes in explaining how he thinks he's found a way to make this dream come true.
- Curly's wife enters Crook's room, once again looking for her husband. Crooks was not having it and told her to leave immediately. Candy was not having it either and responded in a similar manner. However, Curly's wife then warns Crooks on what she could do to him.
