Eva and Lila were going on an excursion to the Amazon Rainforest prepared by their school.
Lila Eva
Calm down Lila. I have read about this place and have quite a few important information which will help us.
When they landed in the Amazon Rainforest, they were with their group but eventually they sneaked out and wandered the forest as they wanted to have more adventure. But slowly they realized that they were lost.
What are we going to do Eva? We do not know anything about this place.
It was getting darker so thought of settling somewhere as they were both hungry and thirsty, they found tree filled with fruits. They already had a bottle of water so they had no problem to drink.
Do you know Lila that of the 40,000 plants known to exist in the Amazon, 75% are endemic or only found in the Amazon. These include bromeliads, palms, epiphytes and so on?
Really! That is amazing.
They stayed there for the night and woke up in the morning. Lila found a river and wanted to take a bath. But Eva stopped her and said it was dangerous to go in water.
Do not go in the water.
Because the Amazon Rainforest is known to be home to 427 mammal species, 1300 bird species, 378 species of reptiles and more than 400 species of amphibians. Including Electric eel, Amazon river dolphin. There could be dangerous animals in the water.
But, why?
They kept on searching for their group but they could not find them anywhere.
Where are they Eva, I cannot find them anywhere?
Me too Lila, but do not worry I am sure we will find them somewhere in the forest.
Finally we have met them.
Neither of them lost hope. They continued walking and finally met their group. They were very happy as they had no worry anymore.
