Storyboard Description

Quarentine really SUCKS.

Storyboard Text

  • When I started going to school, the world of reading slowly unraveled for me. I discovered different genres of books, and my hate for reading slowly decreased. Even now, I can’t say I’m the biggest reader, but I don’t mind it. There is even the occasional book that I love.
  • I'm The Narrator. It's my job to be here. If it wasn't, I would've left hours ago when you started your boring speech.
  • Hello? Are you still here?!?
  • Hey, I'm just the narrator. I ask the questions, not make them. It's not my fault that your techers want to hear your boring answers.
  • Anyway, #2: What have you learned about your own strengths and weaknesses both as a student and as a person, through the reading process?
  • Why do you ask me all these questions if you don't want to hear my "boring" answers anyway?!?
  • Now, hurry up and answer #2. I've got places to see and people to annoy.
  • Fine. Well, I’ve learned that I’m a visual learner, as I usually visualize whatever I read. I also learned that I pay close attention to detail and think analytically. I especially like reading mystery and adventure books, and through reading I’ve discovered that I have good instincts and use logic.
  • #3 What have you read or experienced through reading that made an impression on your life, perhaps even changed your world or marked forever the way you perceive living?
  • I think every book has a message and a valuable life lesson. Like in ‘The Misfits,’ Bobby’s peers mocked him for being overweight, but the reason Bobby gained weight was because he was comfort eating after his mother’s death. The lesson from this book is that you never know what someone is going through. I’ve learned many life lessons from reading, which has in fact changed my way of living.
  • #4 How has 7th grade English changed the way you look at literature and the way you write about life? What suggestions could you offer that would enhance the reading process for you?
  • Taking 7th grade English has changed the way I look at literature by introducing me to different genres and types of books, and making me realize that I can love books that are not the typical genre I would read. I would suggest that letting future English classes vote on what to read and giving them a couple more options.
