Storyboard Text
- Richard (Mr. Mallard's friend) had heard about the crash. He went to newspaper office to see those that had been killed in the crash. He saw Brently Mallard's name on the list of those killed.
- After receiving the information, Mrs. Mallard's sister Josephine breaks the news to her. They tried to break it to her calmly due to her heart problems. Mrs. Mallard weeped in her sister's arms.
- Mrs. Mallard ran to her room and no one chased after her. she sat in her "comfortable, roomy chair". She felt physically exhausted that haunted her body.
- She looked out of the window in her bedroom. She saw blue in the gray of the sky and saw new spring life. She explains the world in positive description.
- She could feel something coming to her, she whispered to herself "free, free, free". She saw beyond the grief of her husband and welcomed the the new life. Her sister came to her and the went for downstair.
- Mrs. Mallard and Josephine walked down the stairs, Mrs. Mallard happy. Until she sees her husband walk through the front door completely fine because he didn't even go on the crashed train. Mrs. Mallard is taking by a heart attack. Richard tries to block the scene from Mr. Mallard.
