Storyboard Text
- "Hey, I didn't tell you we got a spy.... the redhead, Cherry what's-her-name."
- "Cherry?"
- "We're goin' back and turing ourselves in."
- "What?"
- "Jerry some of the kids are missing!"
- Dallas took Johnny, and Ponyboy to the Dairy Queen as they haven't eaten in days. He then tells them that the Greasers and the Socs are at each others throats, and that they have a spy, named Cherry Valance, who is Johnny, and Ponyboy's friend.
- Waahh!Waahh!
- Darry drove Johnny and Ponyboy back to the church from the Dairy Queen, where Johnny tells him that he is going to go back and turn himself in, as he doesn't want to run and hide all his life. Dally then told him he was scared for him to go to jail.
- "Take it easy kid. You're talking a mile a minute.
- "Where's Johnny? And Dallas?"
- Dallas, Pony, and Johnny found out they church was on fire from a man named Jerry. They also find out that little kids were in it. Ponyboy thinks that one of their cigarettes or lighters started the fire.
- "Ponyboy..."
- Darry does care about me.
- Hot and flaming, the church burns as Ponyboy and Johnny tried to get the kids out of the church by throwing them out the window. Johnny collapses and parts of the church came down and fell on them.
- Ponyboy wakes up to find himself in an ambulance with Jerry. He tells him that he had collapsed, and they were going to the hospital. He said Dallas was going to be fine, but they didn't know how Johnny was going to turn out.
- You kids were very gallant when it came to saving those kids.
- Sodapop and Darry come into the waiting room at the hospital. Darry then cries and Ponyboy realizes that what Two-Bit, Dally, and Soda have been telling him about how Darry did love him and just worried about him was true. He then hugs Darry and they finally understand each other.
