Having cared for my own paw for a decade and being a user of the pet hosting service on Mad Paws, I'm deeply passionate and want to contribute to the pet industry in the next 5 years. Joining Mad Paws as a software developer perfectly aligns with my career goals, past experience, and interests!
A little bit about myself......I'm a React web developer with two years of working experience in a Sydney-based startup.
The product I currently involved, akin to Airbnb's design pattern in venue management, streamlines resource management, task allocation, regulatory compliance, and incident tracking.
This process mirrors the hosting service booking process on Mad Paws, which I am already familiar with, and I'm sure I'll be able to contribute to your product soon.
1. Proficient in web and mobile development, adept at problem-solving and implementing client requirements. 2. Demonstrated agile team-building and communication skills in a dev agency. 3. Skilled in crafting exceptional web and mobile user experiences and seamlessly integrating gamification methods.4. Familiar with oversea pet industry and competitors
When considering how my strengths can benefit Mad Paws, three aspects directly tie to my prior experience.
In my humble opinion, Mad Paws has created an ecosystem around the needs of pet owners. In this case, improving "user stickiness" and "return rate" will be one of the main focuses to increase Mad Paws' revenue.
I can contribute to achieving this goal through two key actions: Key Action 1: Streamlining the user journey from access to payment on both web and mobile platforms is crucial. I would love to revamping the "Connect with pet sitters" process by implementing a chatbot. This will simplify user input, facilitating quicker transactions for both parties involved.
Key Action 2 is about developing new features using gamification methods, such as scoreboards and rewards, to incentivize user engagement and frequent visits to the website.
With experience in full-stack development and UX design at a top gamification company, and hands-on React Native development for mobile gamification, I've consistently increased user return rates by 15% across products.
In my leisure time, I'm passionate about developing my own products and learning new technologies to help people solve real-world problems!Currently, I run and manage two small development teams with two developers and a UI designer to make some cool stuff.
While I understand there are no current openings for full-time software developer position at Mad Paws, I'm open to exploring opportunities as a Contractor or Intern. For me, pursuing a high salary is not my first priority. The only thing I want is to join a startup in my beloved pet industry, to work and grow with people who share similar ideas and future goals, and to realize the vision of helping pet owners and paws have a better life!
