- The man helped the miller's daughter two more nights. After that, daughter was arranged to marry the King.
- How can I ever repay you?
- With your first born.
- A year later, the now queen has a child but completely forgets about the man's request.. Until the man arrives out of the blue one day and tells her to guess his name or her child is his. He gives her three days time to figure out his name.
- Guess my name or else!
- The queen sends out one of her men to collect every single name of every single resident in the kingdom. After two days and no luck, the queen gives up. Until, one night her guard stumbled across a lonely house on the top of a mountain. He finds the man trying to take the queen's child and overhears the man singing his name.
- The man is so furious the queen discovered his name that he stomped his foot all the way into the ground and got it stuck. Rumpelstiltskin was so angry that in the process of getting his foot out of the ground, he ripped himself in half.
