  • Political Parties will nominate candidates that have the same views as them on immigration. For example large number of immigrant have become more interested in voting for immigrant originated candidates
  • Don't they also use the media to affect what people see or read about immigration that will benefit their party?
  • Slide: 2
  • Yes they do. They do this to get more of the public to think like they do. They say things in a certain way and don't say some things showing bias words what they think
  • I get it now. What about interest groups though what strategies do they use.
  • Slide: 3
  • Oh well, interest groups use lobbying and PACs. Lobbying is when they make direct contact with government officials to support their policies that favor their groups. They can use this direct contact to get their point across about immigration
  • And PACs area political committees organized for the purpose of raising and spending money to elect and defeat candidates. That way they can support candidates that have the same views as them
