Storyboard Text

  • Woman of the 1920s
  • We stay at home and dont have equal rights
  • Going to war
  • We want rights 
  • We want our rights we can work and we wear and do what we want without you men. We should be able to vote
  • Before the 1920s women didn't have equal rights they would stay home, clean and cook.
  • Jobs
  • We can work good jobs and get paid good now instead of staying at our houses.
  • When the men went to war the women had to take over there jobs and manage the house and kids. Women realized they could do so much more.
  • Flappers
  • We can be on our own and do our things we dont need men to watch us.
  • When the men came back from war the women wanted the same rights as them knowing they can do the same things they wanted to vote and wear what they wanted.
  • Voting
  • YAY!! We can vote now.
  • After the men came back most women got out of the work force but some stayed and there where more jobs that women could have and they got payed good.
  • Women called the flappers went around by themselves. They drank and smoked just like men and started wearing short dresses and low cut shirts. Flappers wanted to show that they could be alone without men and they could do what they wanted. 
  • In 1920 the 19th amendment was released saying that women could vote.
