  • Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 and died on May 2, 1519. He lived in a town of Vinci, Italy. Not much is known about his family but he had a wealthy father and a peasant mother.
  • People have yet to know about Da Vinci's childhood but at the age of 14 he became the the apprentice of a famous artist named Verrochio who taught Leonardo about art, and more.
  • Leonardo Da Vinci was known for painting such as the Mona LIsa and The Last Supper. He also studied every aspects of life all the way from anatomy to mathematics.
  • According to study.com Leonardo Da Vinci did not receive any awards because there were no such things as awards back when he was alive.
  • Some facts about Leonardo Da VInci is he developed love for nature during his formative days. While painting the Mona Lisa he learned the techniques of "Sfumato" and "Chiaroscuro." Leonardo was also very intrested in "flight" he would design many things related to flying and watch them fly.
  • Leonardo was not only a painter, he was also a scientist and an inventor. Two of his paintings are maybe considered two of the most famous paintings in the whole world. Some may think he was the one of invented the bicycle. Out of all the paintings he has created only 15 are left.
