  • Hamlet and Oedipus together at a Bar. Both of these characters share a tragic personality discovery and the concept of the tragic hero. By discovery change, I mean that both characters find themselves becoming and doing things by the end of their respected story that they would have never thought to do prior. They also both suffer a tragic death. This bar is to represent a method for them to cope with what has happened in their lives. What Oedipus is saying in Greek is Thy drink will serve thee well.
  • Are you going to pay for that?
  • To Drink or Not to Drink...
  • Το ποτό σου θα σε εξυπηρετήσει καλά
  • This isn't how the women behave !
  • Here we see Lysistrata and Lady Bracknell show their true power. By flipping the rules of gender roles, they both prove what it means to be a strong woman. Lysistrata proving that a woman can bring peace, and Lady Bracknell being the antagonist in Jack's life by not allowing him to marry her daughter
  • You listen to us !
  • But I love her !
  • BATTLE FOR THE TITLE OF EARNEST: In this main event, both Jack and Algernon duke it out for the title of Earnest. While the fans cheer on, this never ending battle is a visual representation of what it looked like for these two to try to play the same life. This also representing the theme of name and how important a name can become to people
  • Both Jack and Oedipus can relate to having an identity crisis. They both experience the consequence not knowing their past. off all the characters, these two could probably relate the most. To make it a trio, Hamlet could also be apart of this squad. When comparing all the characters with an identity issue, Oedipus I feel had it the worst. And since he is the oldest, I could see him being somewhat a mentor for the others
  • Wait so you actually killed your father ?
  • Yes, and married my mother too
  • Tragedy and Comedy Club
  • And who are you love?
  • If all characters were to meet together, I feel as though Hamlet would drag most of them down. Over half of the characters present are from comedy plays. Hamlet is the most dramatic of the bunch and is too focused on vengeance to actually build a relationship with the others
  • You have to kill who now?
  • Violence is not the answer
  • I know what it is like to kill a family member, too many
  • FATHER! I will avenge you!
  • I- yes it is hehe
  • Tragedy and Comedy Club
  • I feel as though Jack would be scared because in his age, he wouldn't understand how common it was for murder to happen. Oedipus would be the most calm since he is the only one that can truly understand what is it like to feel utter despair. Just to stay with the comedy and also because of his personality, Algy would still be a clown. Lysistrata would stick out because she has the least comparable story of the bunch
  • You said your name was Earnest ?
  • Nope, he's too focused on that
  • He's joking right ?
