Storyboard Text

  • In Act I, Scene II, Brutus and Cassius are talking about Caesar possibly gaining too much power and overthrowing the Republic of Rome, after talking to Brutus and parting ways with him, Cassius talks to himself about getting Brutus to help him overthrow Caesar.
  • In Act, I, Scene I, Caesar and Marc Antony are talking about Caesar becoming the new leader of Rome. Caesar is worried because someone had told him to "Beware the Ides of March." Near the end of the Scene, Caesar tells Marc he deeply distrusts Cassius, but he trusts Brutus very well.
  • In Act I, Scene III, Portia is worried about Brutus, and someone knocks on the door, turns out, it is Cassius, and Cassius wants to talk alone with Brutus. Brutus tells him that he has accepted Cassius' offer.. Then they start arguing whether they should kill Marc or not. After Cassius leaves, Brutus tells his wife that he will reveal all to her later.
  • ACT I
  • In Scene I, Marc arrives at Caesar's home, and is happy to hear that Caesar has accepted his offer to be king. But, Caesar is very worried because his wife told him about a dream that men were smiling and bathing their hands in Caesar's blood, but Marc tells him to not be worried.
  • ACT II
  • In Scene III, Caesar arrives at the Senate, and Cassius stabs him. After Cassius stabs Caesar, Brutus shows up and tells Caesar that he has a sword for him, Caesar gives up, and dies after Brutus stabs him. Marc Antony shows up and thinks that he is the next victim, when he realizes he's not, he asks if he can speak at Caesar's funeral. Brutus tells him he can.
  • In Scene II, Caesar is talking to himself about the warning from his wife. All of a sudden he hears knocking at the door, he opens it and it's Brutus. Brutus wants to go with Caesar to the Senate, but Caesar is still worried about the warnings from his wife, Brutus says its nonsense and that they should hurry up.
  • ACT III
  • In Act III, Scene I, Brutus and Marc speak at Caesar's funeral, when Marc starts talking, Brutus and Cassius whisper to each other talking about Marc is saying. The crowd turns against Cassius and Brutus, and Cassius and Brutus flee the city.
  • ACT IV
  • In Act IV, Scene I, Brutus gets furious at Cassius and Cassius says what is done is done, Brutus agrees and informs Cassius that Portia has died, Cassius brushes off the topic and says that they need to get some much needed sleep. Cassius sleeps, but Brutus hears a voice, and then he see's Caesar's ghost, Ghost Caesar states that Brutus will "see me again sooner than you would like".
  • In Act V, Scene I, Octavius teams up with Marc Antony to defeat Brutus and Cassius, Octavius starts asserting his dominance as the (adopted) son of Caesar. Brutus and Cassius appear and they begin talking with Octavius and Marc, Octavius then says "come when you have the stomachs".
  • ACT V
  • In Act V, Scene II, Cassius forfeits his life by asking his servant to kill him. Octavius and Marc hear the news and they decide to look for Brutus, but Brutus is already dying. By the time Octavius and Marc find Brutus, he is already dead. Octavius and Marc decide to bury Brutus because he was the most honorable out of all the people who plotted to kill Caesar.
  • ACT V
