- As I sit here waiting to be hanged I regret the sin that I committed for killing my wife.
- One day there was a fire and all animals died and he lost his home.
- This story begins with the narrator starting the story from inside his cell, waiting to be hanged by the neck because he killed his wife. He loved his wife and he especially was of fond of animals.
- One cold night, he came home drunk. As he grabbed for his cat, it scratched him. He became angry and he grabbed Pluto the cat and shoved a small penknife from his pocket through the cat’s eye out of anger.
- MEOW!
- As a young boy I loved animals. But others were mean to me and treated me badly.
- He married very young and he was very fondof his eife and animals. He had birds, gold fish, a dog, rabbit, small monkey and cat. But his insanity made me kill the one animal that loved him the most.
- One day there was house fire. He escaped with his wife and servant. They lost their home and pets. There were not rich and became poor. The were so poor they could only afford a small home.
- Please help me I'm dead and trapped. Help my soul!
- When the narrator drank alot and would become very mad.
- That night all the animals knew there was something wrong, so they avoided him because they knew he was a crazy angry man.
- Then I put a noose around the sleeping creatures neck and hung it till their was no life in it at all.
- Now feeling grief on what he had done to his cat. While walking the streets something caught his eye. He saw a cat on a hogs head. The cat looked similar to his other cat Pluto. But Pluto did not have a white spot in his fur.
- One night the narrator also kills his wife out of a drunken rage. She was then discovered by police behind a wall in the house and the black cat eating her remains. He became a monster never to be free again!
