- We've come to find out everything there is to know about the Cenozoic Era!!
- Hello!!! I'm Karylle Jade and I'm with Klein. We have traveled backward to Cenozoic Era through time machine.
- It was the interval of time during which the continents assumed their modern configuration and geographic positions and during which Earth's flora and fauna evolved toward those of the present.
- Cenozoic Era major events includingmass extinctions, the rise of mammals, changes in the climate, and the movement of continents into their present positions
- During the Oligocene epoch mammals began to evolve to include marsupials, dogs, and elephants. Plants were thriving and evolving and evergreen trees began to grow in this period as well.
- The major geological happenings of the Cenozoic Era are that the continents moved into their current positions.
- Early humans were evolved from small, furry mammals. They began walking on two legs, using their freed hands and sharing information in groups. And finally, here we are now. From hominids, humans evolved in the last 4 million years of the Cenozoic
- The Cenozoic cooling trend culminated in an ice age during the Pleistocene Epoch, which is also the epoch during which the human genus (Homo) and human species (Homo sapiens) evolved.
