I agree. something must be done about the injustices suffered by women.
why must the women be forced to sit in this balcony while the men do the talking.
Women's reform movement
The Declaration of Sentiments:Man did not let women vote.He did not give her the right to own property. He does not allow her to practice professions like medicine and law.

you will make us ridiculous.
we should demand the right the vote.
The Declaration of Sentiments:Man did not let women vote.He did not give her the right to own property. He does not allow her to practice professions like medicine and law.
if you think blacks should be able to vote, you must also believe that black women should vote, and you must extended this belief to all women.
Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton met in 1840 at world anti-slavery convention in London, on the balcony where the women were sent while the men attended the convention.
on July 19, 1848, more than 300 people showed up for the Seneca Falls convention, where the declaration of sentiments, a proposal for women's rights, was written. the document listed acts of tyranny by men over women.
Stanton wanted to demand that women be given the right to vote but most people were against the idea, except for Frederick Douglass who said that if they thought that blacks should be given the right to vote, that should also include black women, and by extension all women.
