Since Katie and Lynn's mom is known as being "fragile," she gets hurt a lot of the time, causing her to be cautious over her children for almost anything they do. For example, she'll tell them both, "be careful" when going down the stairs. However, Katie still wants to have fun and enjoy being a kid, like climbing a tree for example.
What?!?!
I could teach you girls how to spit like a master!
Huh. No wonder Father calls him an odd fish!
When Lynn went off to explore the open field, Katie didn't know where she went, and started to cry. For all of her life, she has been around Lynn, and gets nervous whenever something bad may happen to her. From her point of view, she thought that Lynn was simply lost, and began to panic. Without Lynn in her life, she wouldn't know what to do without her.
It's smaller than I expected!
I can tell that she's not happy..
When Katie and Lynn were talking outside, a ferocious dog charged at them. It started to attack, and within a flash, Katie ran inside to go get a weapon. She found a milk bottle and threw it at the dog. Since the milk bottle was make of glass, it shattered into pieces, yet the dog still drank the milk. However, Lynn didn't want anything to happen to the dog, so she got a hose and chased him with it. Through Katie's point of view, she was nervous and ran away to find a weapon so her sister wouldn't get hurt from the fierce dog.
Kira-kira, kira-kira.
Kira-kira, kira-kira.
Katie and Lynn were forced to drive with Uncle Katsuhisa all the way to Georgia. While they were driving, Uncle wanted to teach them how to spit like a master. Through Katie's point of view, she thought that learning how to spit was completely unnecessary. Though in the end, she and Lynn both loved his silly idea.
When first moving into their new home, everyone was unhappy. Especially Father, who just wanted his wife to be happy the most. At first, Katie was shocked, and worried to see how living in such a small apartment would turn out to be. However, she grew up liking it more day by day.
Almost every single night, Katie, Lynn, and Sammy love laying down in the middle of the streets to gaze at the stars. Sam would lie in the middle as Lynn and Katie chanted, "Kira-kira, kira-kira." Katie loved staring at the stars, as thoughts flooded her head. She would asked all of her curious questions to Lynn, as she would answer with great responses.
