Storyboard Text

  • The husband began to come home late from working in the fields and his wife grew even more discontent
  • The Lions' Whisker
  • The wife went to the village elder requesting that he end their marriage even tho she still loved her husband very much. The elder was sad to hear about the couples woes.
  • Once upon a time lived a husband and wife, both very unhappy with their marriage
  • But the potion came at a high price. The elder needed her to acquire the whisker of a living lion to make the potion. Although skeptical she agreed to the task.
  • In attempt to save the young couple, the elder offered her to make the wife and potion that would change her husband into a loving man
  • Days turned into weeks as the wife brought meat for the lion everyday, inching closer...
  • So the wife set out to the river where lions drink, with a large piece of raw meat. She waited behind a tree for hours for a lion to approach and finally one did
  • and closer...
  • Until finally at the end of four weeks, she was able to sit silently next to the lion as he ate and gently pluck a whisker from his chin
  • Holding her prize firmly, she ran to the village elder, waving her whisker. In awe of her accomplishment he told her...
  • You do not need magic to chnage your husband back into the loving man he once was. You are brave enough to pull a whisker from the chin of a living lion...
  • Within a year their marriage was a happy one
  • It took cleverness and bravery to do what you have done. Can you not use than same patience and courage and wit with your husband?
  • Slowly, her husband started to return from the fields in the day time along with the other men and began to look glad to see his wife
  • The elder told the young wife to show her husband that she loved him everyday. To share his problems, make him feel welcome, wanted and needed. So that is what she did.
