- There is a population of chicks. The population started with one allele(this allele camouflagedinto the environment)
- Over time, A mutation appeared in the chickpopulation
- Next an eagle appeared and caught sight of the mutated chicks. This was because of the difference in appearance
- However, an environmental change appeared, called climate change. Climate change made the environment dry out and change the habitat .This then allowed the mutated chicksto now camouflage into the environment.
- Due to the change in environment, the original allele of chicks are now more exposed to be caught and eaten by the predator (the eagle)
- Since the original allele could not adapt to theenvironment, they slowlyfaded away/went extinct. this then wiped the genetics of the original chicks.
- This also caused the eagle's genetics to not be passed onto the next generations. This was becausethe eagle could not find food since the original chicks went extinct and the eagle couldn't see the mutated chicks becausethey were camouflage into the environment
