Google Scholar provides a simple way to search for scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats. Some of these sources include articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, academic publishers, professional societies, universities, and other websites
1. Where to searchThe best site to search would be either Google or a scholarly source like Google Scholar

2. How to search a specific topic.Here are some key steps to follow when you are searching on the internet: 1. choose your search terms carefully2. add more words to narrow the search3.use synonyms (ex. terms, words, name)4.search within a site (we will be using Google)
It is important to critically evaluate sources because reliable sources make you more informed writer and more trustworthy.
3. How to decide in the source is reliable. As you skim the website, ask yourself the following questions: Who is the author?Where was the source published?What information does the source includeWhen was the source published?
For citing on a work cited page:Information should be presented in the first lineFormat is authors last name, first name, website name publisher and publication date
4.Citing your Source. These are two basic approaches to citation using in-text citations and endnotes/footnotes
For citing the website in the text:Cite website directly after the sentenceReference should be in parentheses and period at the endIf author is known, then citation to their last name if not use titleClose parentheses after the last quotation
