Ancestry is important to many and also myself. My heritage to what makes me unique and sharing it with others makes me confident.
I am proud to come from India and here we are at the Brihadisvara Temple. All of my ancestors came from India and my family moved to Sydney when I was just 6 months old.
Going to temples is very important to us, as we can celebrate and honor our many gods. One festival that many Hindus celebrate is Diwali (The Festival Of Lights). We also celebrate the birthdays of our deities, Shiva, Brahma and Krishna.
This building is one of the famous landmarks known as the Taj Mahal. I wasn't born here though just more to the south of it, in wonderful place called Chennai.
Even though India has a lot of cultural value, they also have a lot of industrial and economical value in big cities like Mumbai or Jaipur.
A fun fact about me: Centuries ago, my ancestors from my dad's side travelled from a state called Andhra Pradesh to another place called Hyderabad in Telangana. They even travelled by foot through deserts and harsh weather! According to Google, this route takes 52 hours (257 kms)!
Finally, we are back in Sydney. I hope you have learnt more about my heritage and enjoyed this storyboard. Bye!
