The witches appear out of the storm and plan to meet again to confront Macbeth.
Duncan decrees that the thane of Cawdor be put to death and that Macbeth, be given Cawdor’s title. Ross leaves to deliver the news to Macbeth.
The witches confront Macbeth and Banquo and they tell them their prophecies. The said that Macbeth was going to become the thane of Cawdor as well as the king. They also said that Banquo will never be king but his sons will become kings one day.
Macbeth and Banquo go to see King Duncan. King Duncan thanks both the generals. King Duncan also decides that he will announce that Malcom will become the heir to his throne. Duncan plans to eat dinner at Macbeths castle this evening.
Lady Macbeth tries to convince Macbeth to do things at any needs necessary to be crowned king. The king was planning on leaving the next day and Lady Macbeth has other plans and tells Macbeth to leave it to her.
King Duncan arrives at Macbeths castle and Lady Macbeth greets him and King Duncan asked to be brought to Macbeth.
