- Muhammad conquered a religion of India to bring Islam to India. Arab and Persian traders who had visited Indian ports for centuries were now Muslims.
- Islam Arrives In India
- Although Islam entered western India peacefully for the most part, it arrived largely by means of raiders and adventures in northern India. After the fall of Gupta Empire in the mid 500s no single kingdom controlled northern India.

- The Delhi kingdom was one of the strongest kingdoms in the Islamic world. The Delhi sultans built mosques and fortresses through out there kingdom.

- Akbar died in 1605. Although his immediate successors ruled the empire well. The royal family divided the empire than it all came to a end.
