Okay Students! Since we just talked about how we already knew that sound is energy that uses sound waves. We are going to start our activity for the day.

The students are seen observing the different sounds around them at different areas around the area.. both inside and outside.

So what did y'all observe? What sounds did you hear?

I heard birds chirping. I really liked that sound and because we looked at the chart for different sounds and how they can be harmful I don't think it was harmful for my ears. It didn't hurt my ears

The students are seen observing the different sounds around them in a different place (both inside and outside) than they were at previously to see the differences. The students go back inside and discuss.

This is a picture of the ear and all of its different inner working parts. There are sounds all around us, some are harmful, some are not, but we are going to observe some of those sounds today!
