- Lynn and Katie were attacked by a dog and the dog almost bit Lynn's leg. but Katie got away and threw a glass of milk at the dog but it missed. the dog went after the milk and left Lynn alone. Lynn thanked Katie for saving her but Katie knows that its the other way around as she explains," I didn't really see things that way. If she hadn't saved my life first i wouldn't have been able to save her life. Thats what really happened that day.
- Katie mom is very fragile she fell down one stair and broke her arm . She may be fragile but she is also very strict everyone in the household listens to her as Katie says,"Our father was solid and tall, six feet, and our mother was delicate and tiny, four feet ten. As tiny as she was she scared us when she got mad". This shows that the mom was strict but still loved her daughters.
- Uncle was a weird man he worked a a poultry factory so he did have a job. He was always trying to be funny and kinda make people think positive as Katie says," I thought the great spit was about to come. Instead, he looked at us slyly. I could teach you girls how to spit like a master, he said. My sister squinted at him. she stopped crying. so did i .
- Katie's dad always shows the positives of things and makes things workout.Katie's dad is always very hopeful and believes everything will turn out great as Katie's mom says, "Will that truck make it all the way to Georgia?" Katie says, "My father hit his chest with his fist. That's what he does whenever he wants to say Definitely!"
- Lynn has become more mature and has left Katie alone alot more she still like to play with her just not as much. Lynn has become more proper and is getting new friends. Katie says,"I said, lets see who can put the most food in there mouth at once!" Sammy and i filled our mouths . Lynn said, " Katie that not very ladylike." Lynn is growing out of toys and playing like a little kids she is becoming more mature and wants to hangout with friends.
