- Martin Van (Bottom Right) Buren believed that he must finish what Jackson started. He then decided to invade the Indian country with 6,000 troops and forcefully make the Indians leave. That was the beginning of the Trail of Tears.
- We need to solve this issue. They aren't giving us the land.
- We need these Indians out of here. They have our land. They don't deserve it,
- Andrew Jackson (Top left) was trying to gain the land the Indians were on because of the recent findings of gold in the United States.Although the Cherokee took it to court so they then were ruled in favor, and kept their lands.

- More than 25% of the 15000 Indians died along the treacherous journey. Many fell ill (Like the female in the comic) Many family members or loved ones died along the road and once they arrived at where they settled. This is why it was given the name, the Trail of Tears.
- It was very very upsetting for families. They lost their homes and most of their belongings.
