- I was in the middle school band room after a long day of school, and I was ready to go home. But I knew that today was the day that I was going to send in my audition for the masterworks orchestra. I was so nervous when I was warming up, but to see my mom supporting me all the way through made me a little bit less nervous. When I began to record my solo for my tape I felt very calm, and like everything was going to be alright.

- Getting dropped off was a very scary experience. Blue lake was a 2 week camp that I had never been to before, and I did not know any of the people going. When I arrived at my cabin I was so sad to leave my family. My mom, dad, and two brothers told me that they were going to write me letters which made me feel better about leaving.

- After my parents left I began talking to some new people. I am usually really scared to talk to new people and make new friends but since this was a two week camp I decided that it was probably better to begin making friends. I met Eliana and Emma, who became some of my really good friends at camp.
